Temporary health insurance
Temporary Health Insurance is designed to protect you from unexpected illness of injury and provides coverage for a brief period of time. The time frame is usually 1-12 months but some companies limit coverage to 6 months.
Temporary health insurance is non-renewable so you would have to re-apply to extend coverage. It is intended for people in between coverage, for example in-between jobs, on strike, recent graduate from school or new employees waiting for coverage to kick in.
