Health insurance and healthcare, not one in the same.
Health insurance covers you financially in case you or someone on your plan gets sick. Healthcare, on the other hand, is the treatment or care you receive while at the hospital, doctor?s office, or another health care facility. The quality of healthcare, you receive, does depend on the quality of your health insurance plan. Some plans are more comprehensive than others. Some plans are more flexible. When shopping for health insurance, think about the kind of healthcare your family is likely to need. If you have a family history of certain diseases or illnesses, make sure the plan covers them adequately from a choice perspective and financial perspective.
