Ask your agent to read off all the discounts being applied to your policy. Did he/she include the anti-lock brakes, alarm system, daytime running lights, VIN etching, and others? You might just want to ask your agent for a list of possible discounts. This way, you might catch something that he or she assumed didn't apply. There are often fairly significant discounts for things that you might not expect. One that is being offered by more and more companies is the good student discount. Ask your insurance agent.

You should also ask about affinity discounts. An insurance company may offer a discount if you belong to AAA or similar club or organizations. Of course, one surefire way to save some money on your policy is to take a defensive driving course.

The main thing here is to ask your agent about all possible credits to be sure there isn't anything missed.
